Drumheller Elks #54 100th Anniversary Donation for Laparoscopic Surgical Tower

On November 25th, 2021, the Drumheller Elks #54 presented a $2,500 cheque to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation to go towards the Laparoscopic Surgical Tower purchase for the Drumheller Health Centre. This donation commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Drumheller Elks in December. In the last five years, the Elks have given over $7,700 to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation. Congratulations to Ally Smyth on being the successful recipient of the 2021 Gaye Ross Memorial Nursing Scholarship! Rotary Club of Drumheller Donates Over $10,000 to Meet COVID Protocols

On September 16th, 2021, Rotary Club of Drumheller presented a $10,108.80 cheque to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation to purchase 48 chairs for the Drumheller Health Centre to meet COVID transmission prevention protocols. Be a Light! Fundraiser Brightens Evenings of Hospital Patients

On Thursday, June 24th, 2021, the success of the Be a Light! Fundraiser was celebrated by the installation of 100 solar lights in the Continuing Care and Palliative Care gardens on the west side of the Drumheller Health Centre to brighten the evenings of Continuing Care residents and hospital patients. Alberta Elks Foundation & Drumheller Elks #54 Donate to Bariatric Commode & Laparoscopic Tower

On April 13th, 2021, the Alberta Elks Foundation and Drumheller Elks #54 presented a $2,754 cheque to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation to purchase a bariatric commode for the Drumheller Area Health Centre for use by the Occupational Therapy Department to ensure patient safety in performing everyday routines, such as having a shower. Drumheller Hospital Auxiliary Society Donation Helps Long Term Care

The Drumheller Hospital Auxiliary Society presented their donation of $10,727.68 to purchase 33 slings for the Long Term Care unit at the Drumheller Health Centre to be utilized with the portable Sara lifts, on October 22nd. This purchase allows each resident to have a designated sling to address COVID-19 transmission guidelines. Helping Patients during COVID-19

The Drumheller Area Health Foundation is helping patients and residents at the Drumheller Health Centre and Continuing Care by providing funding for four iPads for virtual visitation. The iPads were purchased in collaboration with AHS Foundation Relations, who did all the groundwork and logistics, with the Drumheller Area Health Foundation providing the funding.
