Congratulations to Ally Smyth on being the successful recipient of the 2021 Gaye Ross Memorial Nursing Scholarship! This scholarship was created in 1998 in memory of Gaye Ross, who was an active community member as well as a respected Registered Nurse at the Drumheller Health Centre. On September 16th, 2021, Rotary Club of Drumheller presented a $10,108.80 cheque to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation to purchase 48 chairs for the Drumheller Health Centre to meet COVID transmission prevention protocols. The chairs will be placed in Acute Care rooms, Continuing Care rooms, and the waiting rooms in the hospital, so they can be easily cleaned to meet COVID protocols and enhance patient and visitor safety. Congratulations to the winners of the Drumheller Area Health Foundation cash raffle! Monica Bredin won the first prize of $2,000, Ron Beggs won the second prize of $1,000, and Mike Meller won the third prize of $500. Thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket!
