The Drumheller Area Health Foundation is helping patients and residents at the Drumheller Health Centre and Continuing Care by providing funding for four iPads for virtual visitation. The iPads were purchased in collaboration with AHS Foundation Relations, who did all the groundwork and logistics, with the Drumheller Area Health Foundation providing the funding. The iPads have special features, such as software that provides compatibility with any other device and a sturdy, easy-to-hold case that allows patients to safely and easily utilize the iPad for visiting with loved ones. The Foundation recognizes the importance of staying connected with loved ones during treatment and while in care, so it was a priority to fund equipment that maintains these valuable connections during COVID-19.
