On September 16th, 2021, Rotary Club of Drumheller presented a $10,108.80 cheque to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation to purchase 48 chairs for the Drumheller Health Centre to meet COVID transmission prevention protocols. The chairs will be placed in Acute Care rooms, Continuing Care rooms, and the waiting rooms in the hospital, so they can be easily cleaned to meet COVID protocols and enhance patient and visitor safety. Congratulations to the winners of the Drumheller Area Health Foundation cash raffle! Monica Bredin won the first prize of $2,000, Ron Beggs won the second prize of $1,000, and Mike Meller won the third prize of $500. Thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket! On Thursday, June 24th, 2021, the success of the Be a Light! Fundraiser was celebrated by the installation of 100 solar lights in the Continuing Care and Palliative Care gardens on the west side of the Drumheller Health Centre to brighten the evenings of Continuing Care residents and hospital patients.
